It took hard work and determination for Noel and Madeleine Wood and their dedicated staff to last year make the Quest franchise they acquired in 2005 a worthy winner of the coveted NSW / ACT State Quest Franchise of the Year. But achieving success two years in a row, is one for the history books and the album.
“It was terrific to see our team’s hard work continue to pay off. It’s a team effort. I ensure that I instil a positive attitude in all my staff and involve them in the business planning process, not only at an overall business level but I also factor their individual goals into the plan,” Noel says.
“Our goal last year was to win the award. But winning again this year, is really the icing on the cake. It just goes to show that commitment and hard work enables you to not only achieve your goals but also stay at the top.
“The last three years have been fantastic. With the team’s loyalty, passion and dedication we cannot go wrong. We couldn’t have achieved it without the positive attitude of all our staff.”
There was strong competition for the awards, with all of Quest’s properties across Australia, New Zealand and Fiji operating as franchised businesses.
Quest Wagga Wagga won the State Award for NSW/ACT scoring the highest in Quest’s Business Success Program in that region. The 25-category evaluative tool is used to identify franchise performance in all areas of the business - from marketing and presentation standards, front office and staff management to financial performance and price integrity.
The Business Success Program ensures that franchisees continually review these key facets of their business on a regular basis. This system allows for evaluation of performance with a goal to achieve 100 per cent compliance enabling a benchmark within the Quest group.
Chairman and founder of Quest Serviced Apartments Paul Constantinou says: “I appreciate the passion and spirit that everyone has demonstrated over the past 12 months. Ours is a great brand; a great family; and a great business model – Quest has exceeded my expectations and I hope that it continues on this path of success where success for the Group means success for the individual business.”
